David’s is the President/CEO of Blender Marketing Group, a marketing and advertising firm focused on multicultural sectors.
He was named “Who’s Who in Hispanic Business” by Hispanic Business Magazine for his leadership and acumen in marketing to emerging markets. He sat on the Executive Board for Arizona State University’s Hispanic Mother-Daughter Program (HMDP) and led organizational- multicultural and relevance objectives as the Chairman of the Maryvale Hospital Board of Trustees, Vice President of the Phoenix Union Foundation for Education and various sub-committees within the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
He uses his first-hand knowledge of the cultural dynamics of our nation, to ensure that Peoria Unified maintains relevance across all stakeholder groups. Ensuring that it adapts to the shifting makeup of its student population and upholds its commitment to its mantra of “Every Student. Every Day.”
David is a product of public education and currently serves as a member of the Peoria Unified School District’s Governing Board. He credits being a product of the public-school system and having caring and inspiring teachers, staff and coaches in his life, as helping shape the person he is today.
As a local business owner, David adds a lens that focuses on preparing our youth for the 21st Century workforce. He is passionate about influencing a culture of forward-thinking and relevance to ensure that we are nurturing and cultivating confident, adaptable and innovative students.
David is a native Arizonan and deeply rooted in the City of Peoria. Peoria Unified has been educating his family since the early 1930s; he and his wife are proud PUSD parents and longtime advocates of education. His wife is a 25-year educator and now admin for the Phoenix Union High School District and is recognized by the White House as a 2016 Champion of Change in Education.
David, while born and raised in Phoenix, AZ., he and his wife (Cyndi) are proud to call Peoria, AZ. home where they reside with their two children Alexa and Ryan.
